California Alliance Postdoctoral Fellowship Program

The California Alliance Postdoctoral Fellowship Program is now accepting applications for 2017-2018.  Prospective applicants in the mathematical and physical sciences, chemistry, or engineering are invited to apply by completing ONE application for postdoctoral positions at any of the four partner schools: Berkeley, Caltech, Stanford and UCLA.

REACH: Graduate Engineering Preview Program at University of Southern California

REACH is a Master’s and doctoral preview program that takes place at USC’s University Park Campus near downtown Los Angeles. Round-trip transportation, lodging and meals for REACH participants will be paid for by the USC Viterbi School. Attendees who later apply to the USC Viterbi School of Engineering for graduate study will also have their $85 application fee waived.

Applications for NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program now open

The NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) application period is now open!  NSF is soliciting applications for the GRFP until the posted deadlines in late October and early November 2014.  Since 1952, GRFP has provided Fellowships to individuals selected early in their graduate careers based on their demonstrated potential for significant achievements in science and engineering.  Three years of support is provided by the program for graduate study in science or engineering and leads to a research-based master’s or doctoral degree.  The NSF expects to award 2,000 Graduate Research Fellowships under this program solicitation pending availability of funds.

Sloan Research Fellows – Nominations Now Open

The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation is now accepting nominations for Sloan Research Fellowships in eight fields:  chemistry, computational and evolutionary molecular biology, computer science, economics, mathematics, neuroscience, ocean sciences, and physics.

These two-year, $50,000 fellowships are awarded annually to 126 early-career faculty in recognition of their distinguished performance and exceptional potential as researchers.  Candidates must be nominated by a department head or other senior researcher, and are selected by independent panels of noted scholars in each field.
