2nd Annual Student Water Conference

Oklahoma State University
April 4-5, 2013

Oklahoma State University, through funds provided by the Orville L. and Helen L. Buchanan Family Trust and a grant from the National Science Foundation, will host the 2nd Student Water Conference on April 4-5, 2013.

The conference organizing committee invites graduate and undergraduate students to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations.

Abstracts on all water research topics – including but not limited to surface water, ground water, water quality, water quantity, storm water management, in-stream flows, water conservation, water reuse, water transfer, flood and drought, climate change, water resource economics, and water policy – are encouraged.

About the Conference: The conference will consist entirely of student presentations to be judged by a panel of faculty members for providing constructive feedback to students in regard to their research presentation skills. Awards will be given for outstanding student presentations. Also, student activities will promote interaction among students of all disciplines.

Submission Details: Abstracts should be submitted by January 18, 2013 (

Non-OSU Students: Some travel assistance funds are available for travel to the conference. Graduate and undergraduate students will have the opportunity to apply for travel assistance up to $250 per student. Please refer to the abstract submission requirements to apply for the travel assistance grant.

Date and venue: The conference will be held April 4-5, 2013 on the campus of Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Oral and poster presentations will be held in the Advanced Technology Research Center (ATRC) located on campus.

Accommodations: A block of rooms has been reserved at the Atherton Hotel (405-744-6835) located on the Oklahoma State University campus at the rate of $88 per room per night for single or double occupancy, which includes free internet and breakfast. Please refer to the “Water Conference” when making reservations.
