More than 160 people, ages 8 to 80, participated in one of nine scientific excursions on Chassell Bay, offered on Tech’s Research Vessel Agassiz at the Strawberry Festival in Chassell on Saturday, July 7. “Psi Chi is an international honor society in psychology,” Mayra said. “We’re hosting it for them so we can raise some money for their program.” Seeing as this is the first fundraiser for the relatively new program at Tech, Mayra said she hopes to see people come out to the pancake breakfast, slated for 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 14 at Houghton Elementary School.
