October Events

As the fall semester continues on, I’m sure everyone has been experiencing the joys of midterms, excessive amounts of homework, and the longing to just go back to sleep. To try and keep everyone awake and looking forward to the rest of the semester, here are some things that will be happening on campus for the next couple of week!

October 10th – 12th – It’s Family Weekend! Enjoy some Michigan Tech athletics, movies, the Pi-Mile, the list goes on. To look at the entire list of events go to http://www.mtu.edu/success/parents-family/family-weekend/events/.

October 16th – 18th and 23rd – 25thBaby with the Bathwater. It’s a satirical (if you don’t know what this means, see the Daily Bull for examples) comedy about raising a child. You can get tickets by going to https://rozsa.tickets.mtu.edu/Online/default.asp?menu_id=C3D2B05A-0C50-4E94-AA4A-E82E94E6CA91 and picking the date you would like to go.

Also, go to http://www.michigantechhuskies.com/landing/index  for athletic events that will be coming up.

There are plenty more things to chose from throughout campus for the month. I will also be hosting an event sometime before the end of the month, so let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions for that. Just get up and see all that Michigan Tech has to offer it’s commuter students!

I’ll be in the Student Activities office in the MUB for office hours every week. From 2 pm – 3 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 10 am – 11 am on Wednesdays. If you have any questions or suggestions for commuter activities, feel free to drop by in person or email me at esleclai@mtu.edu.

I’m here to help as a resource to the commuters at Michigan Tech!
