Jewish Culture Cooking Demonstration

Dear Residents,

Please join us on November 22 (Sunday) at 1:00 p.m. for a Jewish cooking demonstration. Matthew and Shaye Nielsen will be demonstrating how to make blintzes (similar to a crepe). They will also cover how to make matzoh ball soup. Please register for the event by email Matt at mtnielse@mtu.edu by November 21 (Saturday) at 10:00 a.m.

FREE MOVIE: THE HURT LOCKER

Dear Residents,
Daniell Heights is giving out free tickets to its residents for the movie “The Hurt Locker” for the 8:30 pm show on Friday, November 6, 09. This movie has an IMDB rating of 8/10. We will start passing out tickets at 8:00 pm. You are welcome to bring friends & family including one person as your guest.

Thai cooking demonstration

Hello, Residents!

Please join us for a Thai food cooking demonstration!

When: Sunday, Nov. 8th from 5-7 p.m.
Where: Community Room
What: Lek Kuboon will provide a lesson on how to cook a delicious Thai recipe — spicy fish cakes!
How: Sign up for this event at the Daniell Heights office before 5 p.m. on Friday (Nov. 6).

When you sign up, please indicate if you want to help prepare the food, or if you simply want to watch the demonstration.

This is a free event.

Pumpkin Carving

Dear Residents,
The Daniell Heights Residents’ Council is organizing a pumpkin carving event on Sunday, October 25, at 4:30 pm in the community room. Please come and join us some social time with other residents and carve your own pumpkin. We provide everything including pumpkins, carving patterns, and some carving tools. You do not need bring anything but yourself to this event.

Light snacks and drinks are also provided. If you have any questions regarding this event please feel free to email Archana Pandey, Community Ethnic Aide, at arpandey@mtu.edu.

Please bring your Pumpkin if you were at the Pumpkin picking event. In case if you were not there we have Pumpkin for you.

Latin Culture Celebration

Dear Residents,

We invite you to celebrate The Latin Culture with us. We’ll have a variety of dishes from Latin American countries prepared by some of our Latin friends.

Participating countries: Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, and Puerto Rico.

We will also have free dancing lessons. Come join us to learn some Latin moves.
