2018 Funding Programs Available for Small Businesses

We are excited to offer two programs to
help grow your small business.
The Michigan Corporate Relations Network (MCRN) began as a collaboration between six of Michigan’s leading research universities. It was started in 2011, with support from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) and the Michigan Strategic Fund Board (MSF), to create the first statewide network in the country to provide a critical and unique tool for business growth and attraction.
Small Company Internship Award (SCIA)
The Small Company Internship Award (SCIA) program connects highly-skilled Michigan Tech talent with your company and provides up to $3,500 on 1:1 matching funds to pay for 50% of the intern’s salary.
MCRN-SCIA: Keeping Our Grads In Michigan
Small Company Innovation Program (SCIP)
The Small Company Innovation Program (SCIP) provides 1:1 matching funds up to $40,000 to Michigan small businesses to help cover the cost of conducting a research project.
