One Response to “Jaipur Foot Design Teams In India for Spring Break”

  1. Jim Grant Says:

I am the executive director of the Global Birthing Home Foundation, sponsors of a maternal health center in Torbeck, Haiti, on the SW peninsula, near Les Cayes.

I have been traveling to Haiti for five years, and have seen many amputees who are in need of prosthetics, even prior to the Jan 2010 earthquake.

I recently learned about the Jaipur foot, and have initiated a dialog with D. R. Mehta about the possibility of establishing a ‘camp’ in Port au Prince. I would be very interested to hear your team’s assessment of the current design of this appliance, and what the expected cost per item for manufacture might be.

    Sincerely,

    Jim Grant, Executive Director
