This tutorial is out of date since the University has switched to Google Apps. See the University Calendar for links to current ics feeds.
University calendars are created in iCalendar format. This means that you can add these calendars to any program that supports them, such as your Huskymail calendar, a Google Calendar, or other supported software. This makes it easy for you to view your schedule along with deadlines for and events sponsored by the Graduate School. This tutorial shows how you can add a calendar to your Husky calendar.
To begin, log into huskymail.mtu.edu using your Michigan Tech ISO and password.
Then, click on the “Calendar” tab (circled below) and right click on “Calendars” (boxed below).
When you right click on “Calendars,” a contextual menu will appear. Select “New Calendar.” In the “Create New Calendar” dialog box, type a name for the calendar, check both boxes, and paste the url of the desired calendar in the URL box. Once you’ve added the calendar, you can check and uncheck it to show or hide it. See in the first screenshot how the “Registrar” calendar is unchecked. Some useful urls for graduate students include:- Registrar:
