Fall 2017 Housing Assignments

All students will be able to see details about their on campus housing assignments on August 1 on their MyMichiganTech account.  A Housing tab will be visible on that date.  Students in residence halls will see details about their building, room, furniture, and roommate(s) name(s).  Students in the apartments will have their exact apartment numbers posted.

Daniell Heights Parking Lot Painting

Transportation Services will be conducting parking spot maintenance on Thursday, June 15 and Friday, June 16 of this week. Please see the following schedule for when vehicles must be moved from these locations to ensure that painting can be completed as quickly as possible:
Lower Heights: Painting will begin at 7:00 AM Thursday
Upper Heights: Painting will begin at 7:00 AM Friday
Parking Options:
On Thursday, residents in Lower Heights are permitted to park in Upper Heights (2000, 2100 Block)
On Friday, residents in Upper Heights are permitted to park in Lower Heights (1800, 1900 Block)
Vehicles can also be moved to Lots 9 or 32 on Thursday and Friday.

Summer Track B Students Move in to Wadsworth

Summer Track B students are permitted to move in to Wadsworth Hall on Saturday, June 24 at noon.  You will need a picture ID to pick up your room key from the Wadsworth Hall reception desk on Saturday, June 24.  The reception desk will be open on Saturday, June 24 from 7am to 11pm.  If you arrive very late at night and the desk is closed, please go to the Department of Public Safety and Police Services on campus to pick up your key.

Summer Track A Students Move Out of Wadsworth

Summer Track A students will move out of Wadsworth Hall on Saturday, June 24 by noon.  Residents need to check with their RA to arrange a time to check out.  Furniture must be put back to the original position.  Trash must be removed.  You need to leave your room in clean condition: wipe down the furniture and vacuum your floor.

Residence Hall Move Out

All residence hall students who live in Wadsworth Hall, McNair Hall, Douglass Houghton Hall, Hillside Place, and the Honors House are scheduled to move out by Saturday, April 29 at noon.

If you need to depart a day or two late for any reason, you will need to complete a late departure request online.  The online late departure request form is available starting on April 1.

Graduating students (Wadsworth, Douglass Houghton, Hillside, Honors House) are permitted to leave one day late on Sunday, April 30 at noon without a late departure fee. Graduating students should still complete the late departure form to ensure building access. All other late departing students will be charged $20 per person per day for each day of late departure. *All residents of McNair MUST leave on Saturday, April 29 due to construction on Sunday.

Summer Housing

Will you be taking summer school classes at Michigan Tech?  Summer school students can live in Wadsworth Hall for track A, track B, or for the full summer.  All summer school students will live in the same house together.  You can request to be in a double occupancy room with a roommate, or you can request to have the room as a single.  An unlimited meal plan is included, but there are no dining dollars or guest meal passes in the summer.

The cost for track A or track B for a double occupancy room with a roommate is $1764 per session.  The cost for track A or track B for a single occupancy room is $2044 per session.  Full rates are posted online:

Beginning on April 1, summer school housing applications can be completed at Housing, 153 Wadsworth Hall, Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm.  A copy of the summer school housing application is available online:

Spring Break 2017

Spring Break is coming.  Before you go, please take a few minutes to read important Spring Break details posted online:

Please move your car out of the residential parking lots and in to commuter lot 26 no later than Sunday, March 5.  Vehicles can be returned to normally assigned lots on Sunday, March 12. Cars that are not moved can be ticketed and towed.  Please contact Transportation Services in the Administration Building if you have parking questions.

The last meal will be complete on Friday, March 3 at 6pm in Wadsworth Dining Hall.  Wadsworth will serve dinner on Sunday, March 12.  All dining halls will resume normal service on Monday, March 13.

If you will be staying with us for the whole break, leaving late, or returning early, please register online using the ‘request to stay for the break’ google form.  There is no fee to stay for the break.  You can find the ‘request to stay for the break’ form online on the Housing website:

Please keep your Husky Card with you at all times.  You will need this to enter your building during the break.
