If you will need to depart late, please complete a late departure request

If you are departing late for the Spring 2013 semester, there is a fee of
$14 per day. This charge will be placed on your student account.

After you complete your application, please go to the Wadsworth Hall
reception desk to sign up for an interview time. The interview sign up
sheet will be available until March 30 at 10PM.

The reception desks are located at Wadsworth Hall, McNair Hall, and
Douglass Houghton Hall. The desk is generally open daily from 10AM to 10PM.

Reception Desk staff member job duties include: greeting campus visitors,
providing general directions, answering a multi-line phone, processing mail
and packages, selling items at the cash register, and other duties as
assigned. The successful candidate will be polite, courteous, and have a
sincere desire to be helpful to others.

If you will be a new student to Michigan Tech, why not start college early?  Pick up a class in the summer and get an early start.  When you apply for housing online through MyMichiganTech, indicate that you wish to start housing for Summer 2013 instead of Fall 2013.

All summer school students will be combined to one building, so you will have the company of other summer school students.  RAs and the reception desk will be available to assist you.  Fun trips to explore the Keweenaw will be offered to you.  Previous day trips have included visits to Copper Harbor, Mclain State Park, Agate Beach, and the Porcupine Mountains.  You can relax at the lake, hike with friends, or explore and take photos.  Let your RA know what types of summer activities you want to do.  Every summer is different because the students are different.

Of course, the regular housing amenities are still available:  dining services, laundry facilities, saunas, game rooms, and kitchenettes.  Wireless internet service and cable service are included.

Our Summer Rates for 2013 are:

Single Room:

$1904.00 per Track (A or B)

Full Summer: $3808.00

Double Room:

$1631.00 per Track (A or B)

Full Summer: $3262.00

Summer school housing applications are being accepted now.

Current housing contracts expire on May 10, 2013. Student contract holders
can indicate online if they plan to move out at the end of the current
contract or renew for a full academic year until May 10, 2014.

Current contract holders can also select a short-term summer contract to
end on June 30, 2013, July 31, 2013, or August 18, 2013. Short-term
contracts cannot be extended or renewed. Students must be enrolled in
summer school to select a short-term contract.

Student contract holders with full-time custody of minor children enrolled
in school locally may request a short-term contract until June 30, 2013
without enrolling in summer school. Please meet with Trish Bennett in
Housing if this is your situation.
