Winter Break Shuttle Service

Transportation Services will be running a limited shuttle service during winter break, December 21, 2015 through January 8, 2016. The shuttle will be running on campus from 7:00am to 5:30pm. The shuttle service will include frequent stops throughout the day at the Lakeshore Center. The shuttle *will not* run on the following days:  December 24, 25 and 31, 2015, as well as January 1, 2016.

The City of Houghton *will not* be running on campus during winter break, December 21, 2015 through January 8, 2016.

Lower Daniell Heights Rennovations Have Begun

Hello Residents: Improvements to Daniell Heights are coming. Apartment buildings 1802 and 1804 are currently undergoing renovation. Renovations will include new carpet, new ktichen appliances, improved bathrooms, new paint, and new furniture. Please check back here for updates.

Over the next five years, all apartments in Daniell Heights are scheduled to be renovated. Renovations are starting in lower Daniell Heights and will move to upper Daniell Heights. We hope you are as excited about these improvements as we are.



National Night Out – August 4

All Daniell Height residents are invited to join us for a National Night Out celebration on August 4, 2015 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in upper Daniell Heights near the playground.  Complimentary food and games will be provided.  Please come and meet your neighbors.

National Night Out is an annual event designed to build stronger communities.  You will have the opportunity to meet our local fire department members, police officers, and our emergency services responders.  Please join us.

Summer Track B Students Move In on Saturday, June 27 at noon

New summer track B students may arrive as early as Saturday, June 27 at noon.  New students may pick up their room keys at the Wadsworth Hall reception desk beginning at noon on Saturday, June 27.  If you arrive after the reception desk is closed, please go to the Department of Public Safety and Police Services to pick up your room key.  You must have a government issued photo identification or your Husky Card to pick up your new room key.


Summer Track A Students Move Out on Saturday, June 27 at noon

All summer track A students (who will not be continuing on for track B) currently living in Wadsworth Hall will need to check out with an RA before departing.  Please set up a check out time with your RA in advance.  You will need to return your furniture to the original set-up.  Take out your trash and clean your room.  Your RA will then give you a blue check out envelope to use to return your room key.  All blue check out envelopes and room keys will be returned to the Wadsworth Hall reception desk.  If you are leaving after the desk closes, please put your check out envelope in the misaddressed mail slot at the reception desk.  Please remember to check your mail before you leave, and update your forwarding mailing address online in your Banweb account.


Parking lots in Upper Heights and Lower Heights lots will be swept May 11 & 12

On May 10 by 10:00 PM, Upper Heights residents must move all vehicles to Commuter Lot 32 (by St. Albert’s Church) or to Commuter Lot 26 (located off of Garnet street behind the Forestry building). Vehicles that are not moved will be ticketed or towed. Vehicles may be returned to Upper Heights at 8:00 PM on May 11.

If you will be away during this this time please leave your vehicle keys with a friend who will move your vehicle. 


Online Roommate Matching Available for New Students

Will you be a new student for 2015-2016?  New incoming students can participate in an online roommate matching program.  Plese log in to your MyMichiganTech account.  Check your Prospective Student Tab.  After you pay your enrollment deposit and complete your housing application, you will be able to access online roommate matching on your checklist.
