Outdoor Adventure Program presents

Art in the Woods

Come join the Outdoor Adventure Programs’ Art in the Woods series. This series includes four different adventures, one per month, in which participants can hike, photograph nature, sketch scenes, or bring along an instrument.

Part 1 will be held at the Black Creek Nature Sanctuary, located in Calumet, MI on May 30, 2012 from 4:00 to 9:00 PM.  With 241 acres of rich woodlands, wildlife, and extraordinary views of Lake Superior it is sure to inspire.

The cost is $10 and includes art supplies, and transportation to and from Calumet.  Please remember that bug season is upon us and plan accordingly.  Stop by the OAP Rental Center, 207 East Street, to sign up.  For more information email the trip leader, Alyssa, at afriske@mtu.edu.

Student Activities presents National Hamburger Day

Get your Food on!  Come out and enjoy the first in a series of summer programming events, National Hamburger Day!  Summer Students are invited to lawn games and hamburgers on Walker Lawn from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Thursday, May 31.  For more information call Student Activities at 487-1963.

Ride the Keweenaw 2012

Experience the Keweenaw by bike.  Events start on Saturday, May 26, 9:00 AM at the Michigan Tech trails and continue through Sunday, May 27, in Copper Harbor.  Bikes are available for rent at the Outdoor Adventure Program located across from campus at 207 East Street.  For more information on renting a bike contact the OAP at 487-2290.  For more information on the event go to http://www.copperharbortrails.org/event/2012-05-25/384.
