Stand Against Violence

The People Against Violence Endeavor is proud to present Chuck Derry and Ed Heisler, leading voices in the effort to involve men in ending violence against women. They will be in Houghton on October 22 to discuss men’s role in gendered violence, how our culture supports violent acts, and what we can do to move forward. Chuck and Ed have both worked extensively with women and men in violence-related situations and now focus their energy on organizing men and boys as allies in the fight against violence. Both are interested in speaking to as many students, staff, faculty, and community members as they can about the causes, effects, and ways to end violence against women. I would like to invite you, and everyone you know, to a presentation at 7:30PM on Monday, October 22 on culture, violence, and how we can create a culture of respect.
