Recreation Department Launches Social Media Campaign

The Michigan Tech Sports and Recreation Department is now on Facebook and Twitter. Fans can find them on Facebook by searching Michigan Tech Recreation or by their Twitter handle @MichiganTechRec.

“The goal of joining both social media platforms is to inform and market all of the opportunities available through Michigan Tech,” said Jada Gullstrand, Director of Recreation, Programming & Membership.

The sports and recreation office is running several offers and promotions through each social media platform leading up to the Michigan Tech Season Ticket Kick-Off Event Thursday, August 8 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the John MacInnes Student Ice Arena.

Staff will be on hand at the event to answer any questions, and fans will have the ability to preview fall community programs, try-out equipment and learn about SDC membership opportunities.

Incredible facilities, modern equipment, and enough variety to keep the whole family active and motivated—Michigan Tech’s Student Development Complex (SDC) provides four seasons of recreation and fitness activities for students, faculty, staff, and the community. The SDC features a variety of high-quality facilities/amenities, including:
