1. Khana Khazana Serving Chinese Cuisine

Khana Khanaza will present Chinese cuisine that will be cooked by Lu Yang, a graduate student at Dept. pf Geological Engineering. The food will be Fried Noodle, made from spaghetti noodles stir-fried with green peppers, corn, onions and peas and seasoned with soy sauce, oyster sauce black pepper, and salt. Sausage is added for the meat lovers. The beverage is Banana Shake, made from blended banana, milk, and ice cubes.

We will start serving at 11.00 AM to 1.30 PM. The whole meal is $6 in cash only. Khana Khazana is going to serve the meals at the trailer, located in front of the J. Robert Van Pelt and John and Ruanne Opie Library.


2. Sunset Cruise #2 Sign Up, Paddle Board Demo, and Picnic

Thursday, July 24 at 2:00 PM down at Prince’s Point Beach Student Activities will be conducting the second Sunset Cruise Sign Up being held on August 8. Please bring your student ID and $5.00 to sign up.

If you attended the first cruise and you would like to go again, you are more than welcome to.

We will also be doing Paddle Board Demos and grilling hot dogs at this time so come on down for some fun in the sun!

3. Summer Programming Ballet Barre Classes

Stay Cool During the Dog Days of Summer! Ballet Barre is a dynamic workout designed to shape and tone the body, ballet barre combines elements of ballet, Pilates, yoga, and barre exercise moves to create an effective workout experience.

4. Power Pilates Classes at Michigan Tech Recreation

Enjoying these lazy, hazy, crazy days of Summer? Soak it up but don’t let your fitness goals slide! Pilates melds controlled, precise movements with concentration and breathing techniques to stretch and strengthen muscles without adding bulk. Power Pilates will keep you looking cool all summer long!

5. Interested in Quiz Bowl? 

We are forming a Quiz Bowl Club here at Michigan Tech University! For those of you new to quiz bowl, it is a trivia game (academic, pop culture, current events) that is played in teams of 4. It is a really fun time!

Currently, we are aiming to get some intramural teams playing with the hope that we may be able to form a travelling competitive team at some point.

Both graduate and undergraduate students welcome!
