1. Fall Community Programs 

Kick back… relax.. and enjoy these last few long summer nights contemplating the Fall Community Programs lineup!

Slip back into a familiar groove with favorites like Zumba or Aikido or anticipate a new challenge with Ashtanga Yoga or PiYo. We have something for everyone!

Registration for the Fall session begins August 25.

Dollar Days, September 2-7 – Sample select classes for $2!

2. Volunteers needed for a Promotional Video

The International Programs and Services Office will be filming a short promotional video and we need your help. We need roughly 100 people to help us with this year’s promotional video. Here’s last year’s video

If you would like to help us promote Michigan Tech, learn a few dance steps, and be a star, please come to Douglass Houghton Hall (DHH) Ballroom at 4 PM on Monday, August 18 wearing a black or yellow T-shirt. We are dancing to “Happy” by Pharrell Williams. All countries (including US) are welcome so please share this with any of your friends. Join us afterwards for an ice-cream social in the DHH Ballroom.

4. Student Activities Presents Comedian, Jay Black

On Saturday, August 23 at 8:00 PM, comedian Jay Black will perform at the Rozsa Center of Performing Arts.

In 2007, Jay Black left teaching to pursue writing and stand-up full time. Since then, he has headlined at close to 400 colleges, and is APCA’s college comic of the year for two years running.

He has appeared as a comic on Showtime, A&E, Fox, the CBC, and NBC. Jay has also performed at some of the most prestigious clubs in the country, from the Comedy Stop at the Tropicana in Atlantic City to the world famous Los Angeles Improv.

Admission is free with your student ID.
