MUB Board Hosting Game Night & Paint Your Own Pottery
Come on over to the Wads Annex on Saturday, March 20 from 2PM-7PM for an afternoon of Board Games galore! Games provided by MUB Board and Gamers Anonymous. All are welcome!
Also,happening next week, Tuesday, March 22 at 7PM in the MUB Commons. As a part of Tech Arts Festival, we invite you to paint your own pottery pieces including mugs, bowls, and piggy banks. They aren’t just normal piggy banks either. There will be penguin and monster shaped banks as well!
Pieces will cost $3-$6. Bring your student ID and come early. Pottery items are only available as supplies last.
After painting your pottery, they will be marked and brought to the kiln to be fired and the colors made permanent. We will then contact you to pickup your piece.

Mexican Cuisine at Khana Khazana
Mexican food is on the menu at Friday’s Khana Khazana in the Memorial Union Food Court. The menu includes:
Poblanos Rellenos De Queso—Poblano chile peppers stuffed with cheese
Arroz Rojo (Red Rice)— Rice, tomato, onions and spices
Arroz Con Leche Cremsos (Creamy Rice Pudding)—Rice, milk, sugar, cinnamon and butter and Lemon peel

Intergalactic Nemesis: Target Earth Presents a 1930’s Radio Drama Extravaganza
The Rozsa Center for the Performing Arts presents the “Intergalactic Nemesis: Target Earth – a live-action graphic novel” on Saturday, March 26th, at 7:30 PM. Intergalactic Nemesis is a hilarious all-ages science fiction adventure story set in 1933, and features three actors, a live sound effect artist, a piano, and over 1250 projected comic book panels in a retro radio-drama-extravaganza live on the Rozsa stage.
Tickets are on sale now, $20 for adults, $10 for youth. No charge for Michigan Tech students with the Experience Tech fee. Advance reserved seating is now available, please order tickets early! Tickets are available by phone at (906) 487-2073, online at Rozsa.mtu.edu, in person at the Central Ticketing Office in the Student Development Complex, or at the Rozsa Box Office the evening of the performance. Please note the Rozsa Box Office only opens two hours prior to performances.
MUB Board Hosts the Found Footage Festival
As a part of Tech Arts Festival, join us for the Found Footage Festival on Thursday, March 24 at 7PM in Fisher 135! The FFF is a one-of-a-kind event that showcases footage from videos that were found at garage sales and thrift stores and in warehouses and dumpsters across the country.
The festival has been featured on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, National Public Radio and has been named a critic’s pick in dozens of publications, including The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle and The Chicago Tribune. The FFF can also be seen twice a week in a popular web series on The Onion’s A.V. Club, in the hit documentary “Winnebago Man,” and in their book, “VHS: Absurd, Odd and Ridiculous Relics from the Videotape Era.”

The Center for Diversity and Inclusion presents a Women’s History Month guest speaker, Robyn Oches. She is an educator, speaker, award winning activist, and editor on the topics of gender and sexuality.

Undergraduate Research Expo is Friday
Dozens of undergraduate researchers will share their work with students, faculty and the community during the Undergraduate Research Expo.
The event will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, March 18, in the north side lobby of the Rozsa Center for the Performing Arts.
41 researchers and scholars from all departments, schools and programs will have poster presentations highlighting their findings. In addition the students themselves will be on hand to answer any questions.
Information Session – BS in Management and Concentrations in Entrepreneurship & Supply Chain and Operations Management
The School of Business and Economics is sponsoring an Information Session on the BS in Management and Concentrations in Entrepreneurship & Supply Chain and Operations Management (SCOM) on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 4:30 pm in 101 Academic Offices Building. This is a great degree option for those students who have an interest in working with people. This can be a primary or dual major option. It is a well established degree program in the School of Business and Economics. You will learn about the Management major and two concentrations: (1) Entrepreneurship and (2) Supply Chain and Operations Management. You will also learn about career opportunities.

2nd Annual Drive Away Hunger Food Drive – Donate & WIN
Help Drive Away Hunger in our community!
Starting today, Monday, March 14, 2016 to Friday, April 29, 2016, Michigan Tech Transportation Services will be collecting non-perishable food items to donate to the Husky FAN (Food Access Network) on-campus food pantry.
For every food item donated, you will receive a raffle ticket to be filled out with your MI Tech User ID. These raffle tickets will be placed into a drawing for a Free Parking Permit for the upcoming year. Faculty/Staff and Black Lot parking permits will be given away. Receive a raffle ticket for each item you donate (Black lot raffle tickets require 2 donated food items). The more you donate the more chances you have to WIN.

Last Weekend of Season at Mont Ripley
It’s the last weekend of the season at Mont Ripley. And the recent snow should make it fabulous. The last weekend will be capped off with our annual Easter Egg Hunt Saturday, March 19. We’ve hidden eggs throughout the hill with thousands of dollars in prizes to give away. The hunt begins at 10 a.m. In addition our annual Slush Pit begins at 1 p.m. with plenty of prizes as well.

Keweenaw Job Fair on 4/6
Finlandia University is partnering with Michigan Works to host the 3rd Annual Keweenaw Job Fair. It will be hosted on Wednesday, April 6 from 11-2 at the Finnish American Heritage Center in Hancock, and all Tech students and faculty are welcome! There will be about 30 companies present, so it’s great chance for students to see what opportunities are available in the local area!

The Michigan Tech Student Foundation (MTSF) and the Student Philanthropy Council invite you to make your upcoming commencement day even more meaningful by participating in the Class Tribute Program. It’s an opportunity for you to recognize someone special to you in the printed commencement program.
Not only will tributes appear in the commencement program, but they will also be displayed on the new video scoreboard in the ice arena! It’s gonna be crazy! You have the option to upload a picture with your tribute! Maybe a special picture of you and your parents? Spouse? Best friend? Imagine that person/s sitting in the audience and seeing the photo and tribute appear on the big screen!

Annual Charity Ball Hosted by Houghton-Hancock Rotaract Club of Michigan Tech
You don’t want to miss this exciting opportunity to dress up and go to the Ball! The Houghton-Hancock Rotaract Club presents the Phantom of the Opera Charity Ball on Saturday, April 16 from 8:00 – Midnight in the Rosza Lobby.
All ticket proceeds go to 31 Backpacks, a local non-profit organization that provides meals to kids from low income families. Kids are getting free breakfasts, lunches and snacks at school during the week, but what happens on the weekends? They go hungry. 31 Backpacks’ goal is to address this issue. They are sending home backpacks full of food every Friday for those students, who have been identified by administrators, as being in need.
