Embedding a Video

Many users would like to embed a video on their webpage as it offers a more interactive experience for their users. Videos are also a great way to easily share information that may otherwise be a lengthy read. In this tutorial, we’ll walk you through the process of adding a YouTube video to your webpage in the CMS.

Step 1

If you haven’t already, upload your video to YouTube and get the URL. It will look like “http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXeEqwWp-Tw.

Creating Customized Course Listings Pages

The following two video tutorials will help you to learn how to create customized course listing webpages to add to your CMS website. These customized course listing pages are meant to be used when you only need to list a limited/specific number of courses from either one department or many departments.

You can also created automated course listing webpages that pull all undergraduate and/or graduate courses from one/many departments. The tutorial below shows you what to do when you only need to pull certain/specific courses. Impact Analysis

Impact analysis is a very powerful CMS tool that allows you to see the relationships between CMS content items and lets you locate where CMS items are. Impact analysis is commonly used to help you when you are working with Right Sidebars, but this tool can also help you in a number of other CMS situations:

  • Identifying descendants (top screen): content items that are slotted onto this particular content item or content items that are linked to within this particular content item.
  • Identifying ancestors (bottom screen): content items that this particular content item is slotted on to or content items that contain links to this particular content item.

Creating a new File (PDF, Word Doc, etc) and linking to it
