Updating Your Faculty Profile

Michigan Tech is in the midst of upgrading to a new Content Management System (CMS) vendor. The upgrade began over the summer and will continue through the fall with a target end date of December 29. You can learn more about our new CMS product, OU Campus, online.

Faculty Update Form

Over the past several years, faculty have been able to update their CMS profiles through the faculty update website. This site enabled you to log in to our old CMS product and make edits to your photo, CV, and other profile content. You can view an example faculty profile to see what we are referencing.

Updating Your Faculty Profile

Using the faculty update page you have the ability to update your faculty profile that appears on your departmental website. This post provides instructions on how you can update your profile.If you have any problems signing in or updating your information, or if you have changes that are not managed by the update page, please contact cmshelp@mtu.edu.

Staff Directory (Personnel Items)

Updating your staff directory can involve a number of steps. We’ll walk you through the steps involved for a Personnel Item in your faculty/staff directory.

1. Create new
2. Update existing
3. Remove from website

There are a few steps involved in creating a new Personnel Item. You must:

1. Create an Image Editor content item for your staff photo,
2. Create a Personnel Item with contact information, and
3. Slot the Personnel Item into its appropriate Grouped Item, so it will show up on your directory web page (not necessary for alphabetized listings).
