It’s Crunch Time

Everything is getting pretty hectic before finals next week. Here are a few things to remember while studying and finishing up papers/projects.

  1. Prioritize! Make sure you know how long different things are going to take and make sure you give yourself enough time to finish everything
  2. Know what works best for you. At this point in the semester you should at least know what doesn’t work for you. Try some different study techniques and see what helps you most.
  3. Remember to take a break. The stress can pile up really high, really quickly. When you’re studying take a few 5 or so minute breaks. Also, take some time off from studying, go for a run, watch a movie, give your brain a break.
  4. Eat full meals and get enough sleep. This can’t be emphasized enough. This is one of the things that can make or break your end of semester. You NEED to eat and you NEED to get sleep.

Other than that, summer break is coming up fast. If you are taking summer courses, make sure they didn’t get cancelled due to low enrollment. If anyone is still looking for a summer job, keep an eye on the Husky Jobs link. That will sort through some local and on campus jobs. In addition to this, there is an opportunity with the Animal Care Facility. More info on that below.

“The Animal Care Facility at Michigan Tech is looking for several undergraduate students. Primary duties including cleaning, recordkeeping, and routine care of the animals. Approximately 10-15 hours/week are available for each student. The schedule is flexible and hours can be arranged around summer classes.

Please contact Courtney ( for more information.”

Remember to study, but also to enjoy the last two weeks of the semester!

Week 12 Events and Updates

Just a quick reminder to everyone: IT’S WEEK  12! We are almost done with the semester. Final projects will be due, exams are coming up, and we will getting ready to head out for summer! While there are plenty of things to get done (make sure you start prioritizing your studying), you’ll also want to take some time to yourself, relax, and enjoy some of the awesome things campus is offering in the next couple of weeks!

There are quite a few things going on at the Rozsa before we head into the craziness of finals week. The Producers will be performed this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7:30 pm. Tickets are FREE with Experience Tech. If you are feeling particularly musical, there are several events with the Michigan Tech Choir, conScience, and others going on at the Rozsa before we head out for summer. Keep an eye out for the posters and emails for more information if you are interested in any of those.
