Hello Commuters and welcome back to another edition of…
Career Services will be holding some events this week to help prepare you for Career Fair, with advice on how to ask good questions to the recruiters and even how to answer the questions you get. On Monday, March 25th from 12:15-1:00 p.m. they will have a Virtual Career Fair Prep in person in Admin 220. If you are unable to make it to this session, they will also be holding an online session on Zoom from 2:00-3:00 that same day.
Are you interested in joining an Enterprise? Are you not completely sure what an Enterprise is? If so, it would be beneficial to attend Enterprise Day on Tuesday, March 26th from 6:00-9:00 p.m. in the Wads Annex. You can learn more information about enterprises from staff, and also current Enterprise teams and find an enterprise that would be best fit for you. Root beer floats will also be served. Make sure to take advantage of this opportunity because Enterprises are a great way to get involved on campus and also help prepare you for your future career.
Earlier in the semester I talked about the 41 North Film Festival and how they were streaming a bunch of movies. This coming weekend, on Friday, March 29th from 7:30-9:30 p.m. there will be a FREE SOLO film screening. Free Solo is about a gravity-defying free climber and his adventure of climbing a 3,000 foot high rock face in Yosemite National Park. Make sure to take a study break and enjoy the documentary in the Rozsa Center.
Also, on Saturday, March 30th from 10:00-11:00 p.m., Comedian Orlando Baxter will be in the MUB Ballroom. Orlando has shows all over the country, and in 2018 he performed stand-up on TBS’ Conan. Make sure to stop by and show your support and have a few laughs at this comedy show.
That is all this week for the blog. Make sure to start thinking ahead because finals will be starting very soon!
I hope you all have a great week.
Stay tuned next week for another edition of…
