AAMC – MCAT Exam Dates

AAMC

Registration for the July-September MCAT exam dates will open on February 5, 2020.

Students will have the ability to begin their registration process in advance of selecting their test date and location. Before registration opens, students will be able to complete the necessary background and biographical information and agree to the terms. The option to select a date and location will not be available until registration officially opens on February 5.

Starting the registration process early will allow your students more time to enter their personal information, read important MCAT policies and forms, and accept terms before searching for a test date and location on February 5.  Completing personal information and terms in advance does not give students priority in selecting their test date and location.

Encourage your students to follow us on Twitter @AAMC_MCAT for updates and announcements. For additional information about registration, visit our website

If you have any questions, please email us at advisors@aamc.org.

Best Regards,

Jen Antonio Sr. Director, MCAT Business Operations

Goodwill Industries – Internship and Volunteer Opportunities

Good morning , I hope this letter finds you well.

When I worked for Dial Help we discussed opportunities for students to share time volunteering for community programs. I currently work at Goodwill Industries as a case manager. We would welcome any person who would want to get involved with our clients. Our facility, which is not the store, is a training center that helps adults with disabilities set goals and objectives for daily living and life skills.

If your students are interested in a unpaid internship or even volunteer hours we would love to have them. Please have them contact me at my Tech address mbledoux@mtu.edu.

Thank you,
Sincerely,Mary LeDoux

Biology Learning Center – Now Hiring

The Biology Learning Center is hiring 4 new coaches! ALL students with a strong Biology background are invited to apply.

By clicking here, you will find a link to the application which is due next Friday, January 31st by 5 pm. Applicants will be notified by February 5th if they have been chosen to move on to the formal interview process, which will be held on Saturday, February 15th.

Biology Learning Center coaches typically work between 4-6 hours each week, helping students with many different Biology classes. In the fall semester, coaches work specifically with BL1010 groups (but do not need to have taken this class to help). Coaches are also required to attend biweekly coaches’ meetings.

Applications can be turned in to the BLC, my office (736 Dow) or to Racquel in the Biology main office (740 Dow).

If there are any questions, please feel free to contact me! Swing by my office, e-mail me (bemorin@mtu.edu) or stop in the BLC!
