Los Alamos National Laboratory Career Opportunities Information Session

Interested in learning about career opportunities at Los Alamos National Laboratory? MTU Alum Ian Cummings (’16 ’17 ‘20) will present an introduction to the laboratory’s mission, highlighting the breadth of career opportunities available at all levels. The information session will take place Wednesday, April 6, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. in Rekkhi Hall, Room 101. Pizza will be served!

Cummunigs will also highlight the Los Alamos Dynamics Summer School program, which is a great opportunity for upper-level undergraduate students and first-year graduate students to gain research experience while working closely with fellow students and mentors on a research topic. Over the course of this 10-week program, student teams develop an approach to solving an interesting research problem using simulations, experiments, and data analysis. The teams have the opportunity to write and present a conference paper at the International Modal Analysis Conference the following February. The program also includes tours of lab facilities, internal and external speakers, and tutorials on a number of relevant topics (e.g. signal processing, machine learning, modelling).
