A group of researchers at the University of Massachusetts Boston are interested in understanding the status of mental health among doctoral students in STEM. Mental health and wellbeing are key factors influencing doctoral student success. However, the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing violence against Black, Asian, Indigenous, and Latinx communities have increased and compounded student stress.
The researchers are seeking participants for a 35-minute research study designed to understand the influential factors that affect mental health among doctoral students in STEM. Participants who meet the below criteria are invited to take part in this research. Students who hold minoritized identities are encouraged to participate in this study.
- Current doctoral student
- Enrolled in a STEM discipline
- 18 years or older
