The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)’s Measurement Science For Manufacturing Robotics (MSMR) Program (https://www.nist.gov/programs-projects/measurement-science-manufacturing-robotics) is looking for new full-time members to join our robotics team. Multiple positions are available based on level of education and experience. Because NIST is an agency of the U.S. Federal Government, you must be a US citizen to apply. NIST is located in Gaithersburg, MD, approximately 20 miles north of Washington DC.
The goal of the MSMR Program is to develop and deploy measurement science, standards, and test methods that advance manufacturing robotic system performance, collaboration, agility, autonomy, safety, and ease of implementation to enhance U.S. innovation and industrial competitiveness. To perform research in this area, we have an extensive set of laboratories and state-of-the-art robotics technologies. We are looking for candidates with some of the following knowledge and/or experience.
Desired Programming Skills: MATLAB, C/C++, Python, Java, ROS/ROS2
