Nominations for the Outstanding Graduate Student Teaching Award and the Dean’s Award for Outstanding Scholarship for Fall 2023 are now open. The deadline to submit nominations is Monday, October 23.
Please complete a Nomination Form for each nominee. Students you name will be granted the award as long as they meet the guidelines.
Outstanding Graduate Teaching Award
Each academic college or department may recommend at least one and no more than 2.5% of its total graduate student enrollment to receive this award each academic-year semester. For most departments/colleges/interdisciplinary programs, this means 1 student, and 6-Mechanical Engrg-Engrg Mechanics, 2-Electrical & Computer Engrg, 3-Civil, Environmental & Geospatial Engrg, 3-Computer Science, and 2-College of Business.
The Outstanding Graduate Teaching award is only given once to any individual. You may access a list of past recipients in a WebFocus report located in Graduate School > Academic > Outstanding Award Recipients. Enter the following Filter Values:
- Department: (select your own)
- Program: All Values, or select by Program if desired
- Award Term: 201008 (to obtain a list of all the recipients since the inception of the awards in fall 2010).
- Output: Select your desired output type
Dean’s Award for Outstanding Scholarship
Each academic college or department may recommend at least one and no more than 1% of its total graduate student enrollment to receive this award each year. For most departments/colleges/interdisciplinary programs, this means 1 student, and 2 in Mechanical Engrg – Engrg Mechanics. Students should be finishing/graduating this fall semester.
