Remote Sensing Data Processing and Deep Learning with PyTorch Workshop

The DataSENSE NRT project will sponsor a Remote Sensing Data Processing and Deep Learning with PyTorch workshop on Thursday, November 21, from 2-4 pm in the U. J. Noblet Forestry Building, Room 0139.

Presenter: Tao Liu, Assistant Professor of AI4ClimateChange Lab in CFRES

Participants will engage in a 2-hour workshop to learn how to apply deep learning techniques for processing optical remote sensing (RS) data. The workshop will introduce:

  • The fundamentals of deep learning
  • Creation of deep learning models from scratch
  • Use of pre-trained models for image classification and image segmentation

Target Audience: This content is designed for individuals with basic Python coding experience who are new to deep learning, but eager to learn and apply these models.

  • Online: Zoom link will be available after registration.

Participants are expected to attend the entire workshop.

Computers: Participants may use their own personal computers, or the computers provided in the workshop room to take part in the session.
Participants will use the Google Colab platform.
