Receive up to $30k by creating new or transforming existing courses and programs in sustainable technology or sustainable design to help students develop novel inventions and gain entrepreneurial skills to bring these inventions to market. Proposals are due May 23. Apply now
2 DEBUT Challenge

The National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) and VentureWell hold the Design by Biomedical Undergraduate Teams (DEBUT) challenge which recognizes undergraduate excellence in biomedical innovation. DEBUT is open to undergraduate student teams working on innovative solutions to health and clinical problems. Total prizes of $65K will be awarded. Deadline is May 31. Apply now

3 E-Team Grant Program

Receive an E-Team grant and get training through our early-stage innovator training program. 4 BME-IDEA 2018

The 1.5 day workshop will be hosted in Atlanta, Georgia, October 16-17, 2018, in conjunction with the 2018 BMES annual conference. Members of the U.S.-based BME-IDEA consortium will meet to share best practices, discuss common challenges, and brainstorm new directions in BME innovation education. The group typically includes faculty and staff from leading U.S. institutions that teach in experiential undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate training programs focused on health technology innovation. 5 Deshpande Symposium 2018

The Deshpande Symposium is an annual gathering of higher ed thought leaders and visionaries discussing best practices in entrepreneurship education, university research commercialization and campus-wide development and support of entrepreneurial ecosystems.
