The Chemical Engineering Program at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) invites qualified applicants for a position as Senior Lecturer. Applicants are expected to oversee and teach undergraduate chemical engineering laboratory courses, manage laboratory resources and assist in curriculum development. The successful hire will work closely with a diverse population of undergraduate students and collaborate with faculty on undergraduate curriculum. At the time of hire, applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline. All applicants must have demonstrated research experience and an interest in student education. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter, have excellent oral communications skills and be committed to undergraduate education.

UTSA is one of 13 Universities within the University of Texas System. The Chemical Engineering Program at UTSA started in the Fall of 2017 with an undergraduate program that falls under the umbrella of Biomedical Engineering. Chemical Engineering will be housed in the new Science and Engineering Building (SEB) that opens in 2020. Candidates will be expected to play an active role in the development of the Chemical Engineering undergraduate educational programs. The UTSA College of Engineering consists of four departments (Biomedical Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering) offering both undergraduate and graduate programs at all levels leading to Ph.D. degrees.
