You are invited to present at the 2022 Global and Community Engagement Conference (formally known as D80 Conference). The Michigan Tech campus hosts this annual conference every fall to give a platform to the voices of those serving communities both domestically and abroad. Faculty, staff, students and local organizations are invited to share their work, projects or research.
This year’s theme is “Re-energizing Our Communities Through Service.” Please consider submitting a 30-minute presentation proposal. If you have any questions, please reach out to Darnishia Morris at email@example.com.
The conference will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 29 in the Memorial Union Ballroom. Free lunch will be provided.
The conference is open to anyone interested in the development, design and discovery of people and communities!
Students who have an innovative idea that could disrupt the status quo and “business as usual” are welcome to pitch their ideas at Idea Pitch Competition. Graduate and undergraduate students from all disciplines are welcome to pitch their ideas. Each contestant will have two minutes to share their idea in an interactive community setting.
Student contestants should register online by Oct. 2.
Audience guests are encouraged to attend in person but may also attend remotely. If you wish to attend remotely, please register via Zoom.

Judges will vote to select top pitches and award cash prizes to the top contestants:

- Second place: $100
