Did you know that more than 60 percent of the University’s employee count falls under Student Employment? Almost half of our enrolled students ended up working as student employees for the 2017 Fall Semester.
Hiring student employees not only helps your department’s employment needs, but also helps students financially and academically. Data shows that students are more likely to retain if they are employed on campus. If your department isn’t utilizing our outstanding student employees—now is your chance.
An On-Campus Student Employment Fair will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16 in the Library East Reading Room.
The goal of the On-Campus Student Employment Fair is to connect students with departments that are hiring student employees for the Spring and/or Summer semesters. Departments hiring regular student employees and/or federal work study students are encouraged to participate. Computers will be available for students to complete applications on Handshake.
Whether you need to hire one student employee or 100, we encourage you to participate. This is a great opportunity for students to learn about current and/or future opportunities while also allowing you, the employer, the ability to meet prospects for your student positions. To participate in the On-Campus Student Employment Fair, complete the Google Form by Jan. 11.
