The Michigan Chapter of the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest is proud to announce that it is continuing its successful scholarship program in 2017 by awarding up to three scholarships of $2,000 each to qualified applicants in or around May.
Recipients are selected through an application and in-person interview process, open to students who are currently enrolled in good standing at a public or private college or university in Michigan, junior-class level or above, and pursuing an internship in Germany in 2017.
Also encouraged to apply are college or university professors conducting study projects aimed at exposing a group of students to Germany, its culture, language, and business environment. The letter of application should include pertinent project details such as number of students participating, key objectives, Germany travel dates, and associated cost.
Application Deadline: April 30, 2017
This scholarship program originated in 2002 and continues to honor Heinz Prechter for the unparalleled contributions he made to the advancement of international relations between Michigan and Germany. We hope to encourage more Michigan students to gain direct exposure to Germany and its social and business culture by living and working there.
