Daniell Heights waiting list is available now

Are you over the age of 21, a graduate student, married, or have minor dependent children who live with you?  Have you considered living in Daniell Heights?  
The waiting list for Daniell Heights apartments is open now.  Current students are finishing their contract renewal by February 17.  If a student did not renew their apartment, these apartments will be available for students like you who put their names on the waiting list.
There is no fee for you to add your name to the Daniell Heights waiting list.  Offers will be sent to students using your Michigan Tech email address.  Housing plans to start sending offers to students February 21.  Offers will continue until all apartments are filled for the 2020-2021 school year.  New students are able to move in on August 15, 2020 for the start of the new 2020-2021 contract.  New contracts end on June 30, 2021, with an option to renew for an additional year available to students in February of each year.

Residence Hall Deadline

If you are a current student and you want to live in the residence halls for the 2020-2021 school year, the deadline to come to Housing Services (153 Wadsworth Hall) to sign a contract is Friday, February 28, 2020 at 5pm.  
If you will be a new transfer student or graduate level student for the 2020-2021 school year, the deadline to submit a residence hall contract online as part of your MyMichiganTech account on your prospective student tab is March 1, 2020.  Online access will end.  


Any current student, graduate student, or new transfer student who wants to live in the residence halls and who has not already submitted a residence hall contract by March 1, 2020 will be placed on a waiting list.  Priority will be given to traditional new first year students after March 1.
 A residence hall contract is for the full academic year (fall 2020 and spring 2021 combined).


Please consider all of your options carefully before signing any contract for on or off campus housing.  A housing contract cannot be used as a “back up plan” in case you do not find other housing that you prefer at a later date.  If you have questions, please visit with Housing Services staff at 153 Wadsworth Hall, email housing@mtu.edu , or call 906-487-2682. Appointments for your convenience are welcome but are not required for assistance.  Housing Services is generally open Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.


Need a Repair?

Drafty window?  Sticky lock?  Drippy faucet?  Burned out light bulb?  If you live on campus and you need a repair, please complete the online “repair request” form.  All requests go to Facilities.  When you complete the online repair request form, you will get updates on the status of your request directly from Facilities.  Normal repairs are completed Monday through Friday during normal business hours. https://www.mtu.edu/housing/applications-policies/forms-requests/

If you have an urgent problem that cannot wait (NO heat, NO electricity, NO water, water that is flowing and will not stop), please call the Facilities Emergency phone number: 906-487-0001.  Requests for emergency assistance that are not emergencies or due to student negligence may be charged $150 convenience fee for after hours non-emergency assistance.
