Limited Theme Community Spaces Available

Theme communities are living areas in the residence halls where groups of students with similar interests choose to live, study, and experience Michigan Tech together. The goal of these areas is to help you grow and succeed at Michigan Tech, both in and out of the classroom.

You can read more about all of the theme communities online:

https://www.mtu.edu/housing/campus/communities/

Limited space is still available in the following theme communities: Forestry Resources (Wadsworth Hall), Leadership (Wadsworth Hall), Visual and Performing Arts (Wadsworth Hall), Summit Healthy Living (McNair Hall), and Women in Engineering (McNair Hall).

First year undergraduate students who live in a them community will enroll in a one credit Creating Your Success (UN 1010) course in the fall semester with other theme community students. An additional $30 community fee per semester is applied to student accounts for students who live in these areas to support their additional activities.

If you would like to update your room assignment to join a theme community, please email housing@mtu.edu from your Michigan Tech email account.  Let us know your full name, Mnumber, and the theme community you wish to join.
