Snow Removal: parking lots 4 (Hillside Place) and 17 (Wadsworth Hall)

At 9am on February 15, snow will be removed from parking lots 4 (Hillside Place) and 17 (Wadsworth Hall).

If you normally park in lot 4 or 17, you must remove your car from the lot before 9am on February 15.

Vehicles that are not moved will be ticketed and towed.  Vehicle owners will be responsible for the ticket and tow fees.

Vehicles can be temporarily parked in lot 24 from 4pm on February 14 through 2am on February 16.  All vehicles must be returned to their regular lot by 2am on February 16.

If you have any questions about where to park during snow removal, please contact Transportation Services at or visit them on the first floor of the Administration Building.

Daniell Heights Recontracting

Daniell Heights contract renewal will be available online on MyMichiganTech accounts for current student contract holders from February 1, 2017 (noon) to February 9, 2017 (noon). Current student contracts in Daniell Heights expire on June 30, 2017 at noon.

If you take no action, your current housing contract will expire on June 30, 2017 at noon. All residents of your apartment will move out on June 30, 2017 at noon. If you take no action, your apartment will be offered to another student on the current waiting list.

If you wish to live in Daniell Heights in your same apartment for next year and continue your contract until June 30, 2018 at noon, you may go online February 1 (noon) through February 9 (noon) to renew your exact same apartment. Please go online to MyMichiganTech.

If you are certain that you wish to live in Daniell Heights next year, but you want to transfer to a different apartment, please renew your current contract online. After you renew your current contract online, you will be able to schedule an appointment with me in Housing and Residential Life (153 Wadsworth Hall) to discuss and select an apartment from those available. We cannot guarantee that your preference will be available.

There is a $200 fee to transfer to a new apartment. Apartment transfer moves are the responsibility of the contract holder and must be complete between July 14, 2017 and July 16, 2017. If you are unable to meet this requirement, your transfer will not be approved.

If you plan to graduate at the end of the Fall 2017 semester, your housing contract will allow you to be released without additional penalties as long as you follow a few guidelines. You will get an email in November to ask you if you will be graduating, going on co-op, accepting an internship, going on study abroad, transferring or  withdrawing. If this will be your situation, you will be able to fill out a form online by November 17, 2017. You will then receive a confirmation email. Housing will verify your reason for departure. You will move out on December 23, 2017 at noon. As long as you follow these guidelines and the additional instructions you will receive, you will be released from your contract.

Daniell Heights is currently undergoing a scheduled maintenance project that will occur over the next two years. All buildings in the 1800 block have been remodeled  and the 1900 block will be completely remodeled July 2017. The maintenance project will move to upper Daniell Heights beginning with buildings 2110 and 2112 in May. This means that residents in 2001, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2102, 2104, 2106, 2107, 2108, 2109, 2111 and 2113 will be required to move one time during the 2017-2018 contract year. Please click here to see the current renovation project and updates.
