ExSEL (Excelling the Student Experience of Learning) Cohort offered at Michigan Tech – Spring Semester 2019

The Waino Wahtera Center for Student Success is offering a Spring 2019 ExSEL Cohort open to any student who wishes to join, regardless of their class year or academic standing. The ExSEL (Excelling the Student Experience of Learning) Program provides academic and personal support, including:

  • Required enrollment in UN 1000: Frameworks for Success, a one-credit graded course. Learn how to manage time, study smarter, and be a more efficient and effective college student.

o   The spring UN 1000 course is offered T/R from 9:35-10:25 a.m.

o   UN 1000 does not appear on the course registration page.  Students will be enrolled in the class once they complete the online registration for the ExSEL Program.

  • Peer mentoring experiences.
  • Referrals to Learning Centers and other campus resources.
  • Connections to ExSEL staff and outreach related to academic progress.
