I can’t believe it is already week 10. It feels like this semester is flying by! Hopefully you are all ready for the colder weather that we have been starting to get. It won’t be too long before everything is covered in snow and you can’t go outside without bundling up.
By this time, you should have a good handle on how your classes are going and know if you need help. This week should be the time to get help if you still haven’t. With exams and end of semester deadlines approaching, learning centers and office hours are often my most used tools. Keep in mind that this Friday, November 4, is the last day to drop a class with the grade of a W.
There are two great opportunities happening soon that I encourage all of you to take advantage of.
- LeaderShape Applications are now being accepted – LeaderShape 2017 will be January 2-7 in Alberta, MI. This is a great way to improve your leadership skills! To register and apply, please visit this link. Applications close on Thursday, November 3 at 11:59 pm.
- MTMC Flow Train Presentation– The MTMC will be offering a presentation exploring methods of writing smoothly; including transitions, structure and vocabulary. This will be on November 10 at 1pm in Walker 107. All students are welcome to attend.
