Hongyu An Is Seeking Summer 2022 Undergraduate Research Assistants

Dr. Hongyu An, assistant professor, Electrical and Computer Engineering, is seeking undergraduate students to participate in summer 2022 projects.

The summer work will focus on the project, “Real-time Deep Brain Stimulation signal control using neuromorphic chips or edge computing platforms for Parkinson’s disease treatment.” The objective of the project is to analyze the time domain spiking signals from Deep Brain Stimulation using deep learning.

The expected skills are Python, Matlab, and deep learning.

Dr. An’s research focuses on Neuromorphic Computing, a hardware-software co-design approach of realizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) through emulating human brains.
