OUTDOOR ADVENTURE PROGRAM DURING SPRING BREAK: The Outdoor Adventure Program is open for Spring Break! We’ll be around to facilitate your adventure over break, keeping our normal hours. Given our newfound snow, it’s a great week to go explore on snowshoes! Rental cost for snowshoes is $6 per day. Each person who has paid the Experience Tech fee also gets 1 day snowshoe rental AT NO COST! You must show up in person with your Tech ID in hand to take advantage of the offer. STC SPEAKER SERIES: The Society of Technical Communications Student Chapter, as part of a speaker series, will be sponsoring Rob Berman on Wednesday, March 14 at 7:00 pm in Walker 120A. His talk is entitled “STC and Music: Creating Documentation for the Music Industry.” Berman is a technical writer who has found many opportunities within the music and recording industry. Berman started his career as a musician and recording engineer and eventually found himself in technical writing for ENSONIQ. Now, he uses InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Adobe Captivate to create documentation for Roland Corporation, a multinational manufacturer of recording equipment and electronic musical instruments. Additionally, he works as a freelance technical writer for a company that produces surveillance equipment. This event is sponsored by the STC Student Chapter. THE GREAT LAKES SHOWCASE AT THE ROZSA: The Rozsa Center is pleased to present The Great Lakes Showcase: An Annual Juried Exhibition of Fine Arts and Crafts, March 12-30th. Please join us in celebrating the region’s visual arts community! The public is invited to view the work of area artists in the gallery Monday – Friday, and also to the opening reception on Monday, March 12, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM. The show will run through March 30, 2012, and is free and open to the public. Regular Gallery hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM.
