Sustainability – Student Involvement Encouraged
Facilities Management has been charged with taking a fresh look at integrating sustainability into campus operations. As part of that initiative, Facilities will be updating the student sustainability groups list that was created nearly three years ago. The list was last updated about one year ago and is available for review on the Facilities Management website at www.mtu.edu/facilities/energy/work-groups. Facilities is interested in having anyone who is currently involved in one of these groups to review the information listed there to see if any changes are in order.
We are also encouraging anyone with knowledge of a sustainable student group not currently listed to contact Jim Schultz (jschultz@mtu.edu) with this information. Once we update the lists, we will be providing additional information and seeking input from students on how we can all work together in making Michigan Tech a greener place. We encourage students to get involved with their groups and with this effort to get greener.
