Student Activities Summer Programming – Milk Shakes

Summer students, come on over to the Outdoor Adventure Program/Wellness House, 207 East St. across the highway from the Library, to join in our summer programming fun. The next event will be held on Thursday, June 6 at 2:00 PM. We are giving out complimentary Milk Shakes in the backyard. Its going to be great! See you there.

Volunteers Needed for Houghton Rotary’s Seafood Fest

Once again Houghton Rotary is looking for volunteers for Seafood Fest.  If you are interested please email Suzanne R. Sanregret at srsanreg@mtu.edu.

Volunteers needed during the following times:

Thursday – June 13
1 – 4 (Set up at the Waterfront)
Friday – June 14
8 – 1 (Set up at the Waterfront)
1 – 5 (Set up at the Waterfront)
Friday – June 14
4:30 – 8:30 (Various jobs)
8 – Midnight (Various jobs)
Saturday – June 15
9AM – 1:30 (Various jobs)
1 – 5 (Various jobs)
4:30 – 8:30 (Various jobs)
8 – Midnight (Various jobs)

FinnFest Volunteers Needed

Approximately 25+ volunteers needed on Sunday, June 23 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.  Volunteers would help assist individual vendors haul their wares to their vehicles from the multi-purpose room.  Hand trucks and flat beds will be available to assist in moving items.  Volunteers can report to the SDC multi-purpose room entrance where volunteers will be meeting and then be assigned tasks.

Any amount of time that a volunteer could be available would be much appreciated.  Let’s show our visitors our Copper Country Hospitality.
