Paddle the Portage with OAP

On August 8 the Outdoor Adventure Program is hosting Paddle the Portage.   The cost is $20 w/paddle board, $15 w/kayak.

Service Opportunity

Grace Lutheran Church in South Range looking for help during after school programs that range from outside games to homework tutoring for grades K to 6.  The program will start in September and run through the school year, from 3:00 PM to about 5:30 PM every Wednesday.

Student Activities Hosting 2nd Sunset  Cruise for Summer Students

Student Activities is hosting a 2nd Sunset Cruise on the Isle Royale Queen IV on August 1, 2013. Sign up will take place on Thursday, July 25 at 2:00 PM during the next summer programming event, Walking Tacos, at the OAP Backyard.  There are only 86 spaces available. All others will be placed on a waiting list. Students and their children only please. Must have ID and $5.00 cash or check at the time of sign up.

Summer students are invited to the next summer programming event, Walking Tacos, at the Outdoor Adventure Program backyard on Thursday, July 25 at 2:00 PM.  The 2nd Sunset Cruise sign up will also take place starting at 2:00 PM.

This programming series is sponsored by Student Activities and Housing and Residential Life.

Little Huskies Child Development Center has Scholarships Available

The purpose of the scholarship fund is to remove financial road blocks so as to allow Michigan Tech’s most needy families access to high-quality early childhood education at Michigan Tech’s Little Huskies Child Development Center. The focus demographics are undergraduate, graduate, and low-income employee families. Their success at Michigan Tech is a guiding principle. A completed application and all required materials must be submitted and received no later than August 1, 2013 for the 2013-2014 academic year.
