1. Khana Khazana Serving Syrian Cuisine

Syrian cuisine that will be cooked by Roba Bdeir, a PhD student at Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. The food is Falafel with Hummus and Ijja, made with dehydrated chickpeas are soaked overnight and grounded with onions, parsley, cilantro and garlic with Syrian spices. Fried to a rich, golden brown, and served with zesty Hummus dip and Ijja, which contains zucchini, egg and parsley.

Serving at 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the trailer, located in front of the J. Robert Van Pelt and John and Ruanne Opie Library.. Whole meal is $6.00 in cash only.  at the trailer, located in front of the J. Robert Van Pelt and John and Ruanne Opie Library.

2. Paddle Board Demo and Picnic at Prince’s Point

Student Activities is hosting a paddle board demo and picnic on Thursday, July 24 at 2:00 PM at the Prince’s Point Beach. We will be serving hotdogs (veggie dogs available), chips, and a beverage.  We will also be signing up students for the second sunset cruise taking place on Friday, August 8.  If you would like to sign up for the cruise please bring $5.00 and you student ID. If you are unable to attend this event to sign up, please contact Student Activities for help at activities@mtu.edu.


3. 20th Annual Agate Beach Music Jamboree

Two days of fun filled music and camping, August 2-3 at Agate Beach.  Music starts at 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM both days.  All musicians and singers welcomed to come play and sing. Camping available on a first come first served basis. A concession stand will be open both days.

No admission, public welcome. Bring your lawn chair.
