Brandon has appeared on NBC’s Last Comic Standing and was recently named “Best of the West” at the Detroit Comedy festival. Brandon has been described as a great storyteller with insightful material. His deeply personal and honest style has made him a fast favorite on the college and comedy club circuits. Brandon is quickly establishing himself as one of best young comic talents in the country. He puts on one hell of a show and is a definite must see.

2. HuskyLEAD – Corporate Partnerships and Sponsorships
Please join us for the next HuskyLEAD, “Corporate Partnerships and Sponsorships,” on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 6:00 PM in the Memorial Union Building B2 & B3. The presentation will be given by Brent Burns, director of industry relations, and Beth Hoy, assistant director of operations and outreach, Corporate Partnerships.
Participants will learn best practices in fostering relationships and creating partnerships with industry partners. The presentation will include recommended best practices for student group fundraising by working collaboratively with university staff and industry representatives.
HuskyLEAD is sponsored by Student Activities and is free of charge. The sessions are hour-long professional development workshops geared toward student organizations leaders. 4. Reminder: Class Tribute Program for December Graduates
The Michigan Tech Student Foundation (MTSF) and the Student Philanthropy Council invite you to make your upcoming commencement day even more meaningful by participating in the Class Tribute Program. It’s an opportunity for you to recognize someone special to you in the printed commencement program.

5. Khana Khazana Serving French Cuisine
Khana Khazana, a weekly international lunch will feature French cuisine this Friday, November 14 cooked by Carine Tokem; student at Michigan Tech.
The main dish is BLANQUETTE DE POULET (Chicken in white sauce). Blanquette of chicken is a French honey dish cooked with chicken breast and vegetable in a white wine enhanced white sauce.
The second dish is POMMES DE TERRE RAGOÛT (Potato stew). It is a healthy potato stew with carrots, green peas and French seasoning.
A very luscious dessert CLAFOUTIS A LA FRAISE (strawberry cake) made of strawberries arranged in a buttered dish and covered with a thick flan-like batter would be the final one to finish your meal.
We will start serving at 11am to 2pm at MUB Food Court. The whole meal is $6.95 with free fountain soda or $2.5 for each item.

9. Film Board Showing Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
This weekend, Film Board will be showing “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” in Fisher 135. It will be shown on: Friday, November 14, at 5:30, 8:30, and 11:30 PM; Saturday, November 15, at 2:30, 5:30, 8:30, and 11:30 PMm; and Sunday, November 16, at 2:30 and 5:30 PM. Tickets are $3. Candy, popcorn, and soda are $1 each. Next weekend, we will show “Guardians of the Galaxy”.
Don’t forget that Film Board now shows new TV show episodes in for FREE! “American Horror Story” is shown on Wednesdays at 10:00 PM. And “The Walking Dead” is shown on Sundays at 9:00 PM, followed by “Talking Dead”. Concessions will be available!
10. VPA Presents Alternate Realities
Now for something completely different: The Michigan Tech Department of Visual and Performing Arts’ Tech Theatre Company will present “Alternate Realities – A Trip Through 20th Century Avant-Garde Theatre.” Enjoy an evening of theater composed of short Expressionist, DADAist, Surrealist, Futurist, Absurdist, Existentialist, and Neo-Futurist plays by each movement’s famous artists. Join us for the bizarre, funny, ridiculous, and little bit scary romp of leading edge artists who helps shape the modern view of the world. “Alternate Realities” runs from Thursday, November 13 – Saturday, November 15, at 7:30 PM, in the McArdle Theatre.

11. Fulbright Scholar Program Workshop
Please join us on November 17th at 6:00 PM, Fisher 131 to listen to a Fulbright Scholar Program workshop presented by Fulbright Ambassador, Dr. Charles Wallace. Joining him will be Social Sciences Professor, Hugh Gorman, and Director of News and Media Relations, Jennifer Donovan, who will also share their Fulbright program experiences.
All interested students, faculty, and staff are welcome.
