1. Winter Carnival Queens Application Due Today
The 2015 Winter Carnival Queens Application is currently opened and will be closed this Friday, November 21 at 10:00 PM. If you have not applied or nominated a queen candidate, please do so! It is strongly encouraged to get involved in this Winter Carnival event because points will be awarded to the organizations who are representing the winners.

2. Khana Khazana Combo Meal
Khana Khazana, a weekly international lunch will feature a Combo Meal from Thailand, Nepal, and China this Friday, November 21 cooked by Ochin Nuchitprasitcha, Tae Tuntithavornwat , Aadarsh Upreti and Lu Yang respectively; all students at Michigan Tech. The main dish is Thai Chicken Green Curry. This green curry is a traditional dish that is cooked with thai spice base, chicken and thai basil to emphasize the scent of Thai. The second dish Kauli-Aalu Ko Tarkari (Fried Cauliflower and potato). This dish is made of cauliflower and potato fried in sautéed onions and a rich mixture of spices creates a complex, flavorful base. A healthy Chinese Fruit Salad made of fresh strawberries, mangoes, kiwis and blueberries mixed with milk and coconut milk would be final one to end your meal. We will start serving at 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at MUB Food Court. The whole meal is $6.95 with free fountain soda or $2.50 for each item. Please join us to support our international cooks and enjoy a great meal!
3. KSO Presents a Free Fall Music Recital
The Keweenaw Symphony Orchestra presents a free Fall Music Recital on Thursday, November 20, at 7:00 pm at Portage Lake United Church (PLUC). This recital’s theme—Night at the Movies—invites beautiful and compelling vocal and instrumental music, including performances of opera arias and art songs, woodwind quartet, string quartet, and a premiere of a new composition.
4. REMINDER: Relay for Life T-Shirt Sale
Relay for Life is selling T-Shirts! We have a new shirt for ‘Movember’ to support Prostate Cancer Awareness and Men’s Health. 5. REMINDER: Class Tribute Program for December Graduates
The Michigan Tech Student Foundation (MTSF) and the Student Philanthropy Council invite you to make your upcoming commencement day even more meaningful by participating in the Class Tribute Program. 7. Husky Motors Thanksgiving Shuttle Info
Transportation Services will be running a limited shuttle service during the week of November 24 through November 26, 2014. The shuttle will be running on campus from 7:00am to 5:30pm, Monday through Wednesday. The shuttle service will include frequent stops throughout the day at the Lakeshore Center. The shuttle *will not* be running Thursday, November 27, 2014 or Friday, November 28, 2014.
