Khana Khazana Serving Moroccan Food

Dining Services has teamed up with international students from across campus to bring you Khana Khazana (food treasure).  International students make authentic ethnic foods from their homes and share them with you every Friday during the academic year at the Food Court in the Memorial Union from 11:00 am until 1:30 pm.

Maghrebi mint tea is a green tea prepared with spearmint leaves and sugar, traditional to the Greater Maghreb region most closely associated with Morocco.
The serving of the tea can take a ceremonial form, especially when prepared for a guest. The tea is traditionally made by the head male in the family, and offered to guests as a sign of hospitality. Typically, at least three glasses of tea are served, and it is considered impolite to refuse it.
……………………………………….
Moroccan lamb tagine
A tagine is a sweet and warmly spiced Moroccan stew in which meat and/or vegetables and pulses are slowly simmered. This is a traditional Moroccan lamb tagine simmered in numerous spices. Lamb and apricots is a lovely combination for that.
………………………………………………
Moroccan-Style Vegetable Couscous
Make this sweet & spicy Moroccan-Style Vegetable Couscous as a festive vegan entree. Zucchini, sweet potatoes, chickpeas, dried fruit. The spice adds a wonderful depth to this sweet and savory dish; super healthy and so satisfying!

Collecting Small Things” is a Superior Wind Symphony evening of music that is both small (in duration or instrumentation), and large; and what is large is made up entirely of smaller parts. Never been to a Superior Wind Symphony concert? It is the only Michigan Tech music ensemble composed entirely of non-music majors: Chemists, engineers, physics, even math majors, make up the band! From bassoons to oboes, trumpets to saxophones, you’ll get to focus alternately on all of the wind and percussion families of instruments, while enjoying the prowess of our entirely non-music-major ensemble! Come to the Collecting Small Things concert this Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 7:30 PM, at the Rozsa Center for the Performing Arts, and enjoy the show!
