Once in a Decade: Vote on USG Constitution Revisions

The USG will, in the remaining part of the academic year, be revising the USG constitution. In order to make changes to the USG’s constitution, we must collect a vote of the undergraduate student population. Voting is an opportunity to engage in a process that can greatly impact student organizations. If you would like to, please cast your vote at the following link: https://www.involvement.mtu.edu/submitter/election/start/466840

The USG is proposing 6 major revisions, along with 4 minor changes. The major changes revolve around holding the USG to a high ethical standard, reworking certain positions, and supporting the needs of USG members and their constituents. The minor changes are being proposed in order to perform general upkeep on the USG Constitution and improve the language of operation for the body.

If you would like to view the full rationale for each proposed revision, it is available here.
