Parade of Nations

We are excited to invite you to join us in celebrating the 32nd annual Parade of Nations, on September 18, 2021. The Parade of Nations will follow a different parade route this year. Due to construction on the Lift Bridge, the parade will not start in Hancock and cross the bridge as it usually does.

The parade will start at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 18 at Franklin Square in Houghton, go through downtown to Quincy Street (at the Ambassador restaurant), turn right to the waterfront, and left on Lakeshore Drive, finishing at Kestner Park.

There are many ways to participate.
·      Walk in the parade (representing your club, organization, or cultural heritage) or build a float. Click here to register your group or if you want to build a float.
·     Represent any nation of your choice. Click here to request a flag for the nation you want to represent.
·     Participate in the Scavenger Hunt. This will be a fun, interactive event with a chance to win exciting prizes. Go to the rules and regulations and click here to register.

For more information, go to the Parade of Nations webpage. You can contact the Parade of Nations by email at paradeofnations@mtu.edu or call at 906-487-2160.

Student Mental Health and Well-being

At Tech we know that mental and physical health can weigh heavily on students. With the busy schedules that our Huskies have, it may be hard to search to find the resources that you need. To help with that, we did it for you! You can visit our self-help resources page on the Michigan Tech Well-Being website! Following the link below will take you to the page where you can find resources for suicide prevention lines, professionals to contact, and campus resources to help you or your friends. Link: Self-Help Resources | Student Mental Health and Well-being | Michigan Tech (mtu.edu)
