RSO Re-registration Now Open

The clock is ticking, so don’t delay! Re-registration is a simple yet crucial task that ensures your organization’s continuity. By completing this process, you’re taking a proactive step toward a successful year filled with enriching activities and impactful initiatives.

Re-registration is available on Involvement Link as well as through the link on the email you have received.

Remember, your dedication as RSO officers and advisors is what keeps the org thriving, and re-registration is the first step in that journey. Let’s work together to make this academic year one to remember!

All RSO officers and advisors must complete the re-registration process by September 18th at 8 AM. Missing this deadline will lead to a deduction of funds allocated to your org. We understand that time is precious, but acting promptly is crucial to maintaining your org’s active status.

If you have any questions or encounter any issues during the re-registration process, don’t hesitate to reach out to rso@mtu.edu or stop in our office, MUB 112. We’re here to assist you every step of the way.

Here’s to another fantastic year of collaboration, growth, and achievement. Happy re-registering!

Trivia Night

As summer winds down and the campus prepares to start an exciting new year, take a break from training and planning at Trivia Night! Join Student Leadership and Involvement for an evening of fun and relaxation (or competition, whichever your soul needs)! Teams will be capped at five players.

Doors open at 7:30 PM and appetizers (BBQ Meatballs, Mozzarella Sticks, and Veggies) will be ready and waiting, so come early to grab a snack and find a seat! Trivia will start promptly at 8:00 PM.

Bring your thinking caps – giveaways will be awarded throughout and the top team will win Michigan Tech gift cards!

Let’s Rebuild Community Painting Day

The Let’s Rebuild Community project seeks to revitalize homes and our community by supporting low-income seniors, veterans, and persons with disabilities in protecting their homes as an asset and a source of pride. They seek to make repairs that are high impact and of high aesthetic value while improving safety and health in and around the home. The program relies on the labor of volunteers to assist in project completion.

For 2023, four homes have been identified in Calumet and Laurium. The next day of service will be primarily focused on painting and is this Saturday, August 12th from 8 AM until 4:30 PM. Both breakfast and lunch will be provided to the volunteers and each person will also receive a free t-shirt. Please register on GivePulse if you are able to support this meaningful work!

Volunteers will meet at 8 AM for breakfast, house assignments, and t-shirts at Faith Lutheran Church in Calumet (26016 Depot Street). All necessary tools needed as well as gloves, water, and snacks will be provided. Please wear durable clothing that you do not mind getting dirty as well as closed-toed, durable shoes. Every volunteer will be asked to sign a liability waiver.

TELUS Health App

The Center for Student Mental Health and Well-being is excited to announce our updated partnership for mental health support services through the TELUS Health Student Support Program beginning July 31, 2023. The TELUS Health Student Support Program will provide 24/7/365 student support to Michigan Tech students in place of current services offered through MySSP. All features will remain the same as before: Free mental health support with access to master’s level clinicians available 24/7, real-time phone, chat, and text services as well as ongoing scheduled video sessions, and emergency/crisis support services. Options for language, culture, and/or shared identity matching with counselors will continue to be available as well. Beginning July 31, existing users of the MySSP app will be prompted to update the app to the new TELUS Health app.
