Take the Healthy Minds Survey and Make a Difference
As a college student at Michigan Tech, your mental health is as important as your academic success. Balancing coursework, social life, and future plans can be overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. The Healthy Minds Survey, starting on September 16th and running until the 14th of October, is your opportunity to share your experiences and help shape a campus that better supports student well-being. By participating, you’ll contribute valuable insights that will lead to more effective mental health resources and a stronger, more supportive community.
The survey is confidential, and it takes just a short time to complete. Plus, you’ll be entered to win weekly prizes like a Spikeball set, Bluetooth speaker, YETI Rambler, and hammock—just for sharing your thoughts. Your voice matters, and by participating in the Healthy Minds Survey, you’re helping to create a healthier, happier Michigan Tech for yourself and your fellow students. Look out for an email from Dean of Students Kellie Raffaelli at healthyminds-MTU@umich.edu to get started.

Students can meet with a counselor to have a brief conversation about specific mental health questions or concerns.
The counselor facilitating the Let’s Talk Program is there to listen to a specific concern, provide support, help explore solutions and give information about available appropriate resources. If you are unsure if Let’s Talk is the option for you, look at what is and is not a good fit for this program.
Let’s Talk is not a substitute for formal counseling and does not constitute mental health treatment. Additionally, Let’s Talk is not designed to provide emergency or crisis support.
